Southeastern Ohio is particularly scenic with a number of caves and, in the spring, beautiful waterfalls. A group of what were once separate state parks, now go by the name of Hocking Hills. This area is particularly beautiful with rock bridges, cliffs, and ravines, well worth exploring. Take note, however, in the spring time when the waterfalls are in their full splendor, this park can be quite full of day trippers. In the middle of the summer, the waterfalls dry up and the area is almost entirely devoid of visitors.
